Evie is Five Months Old!

I can't believe it! Time is just going by so fast I can't even catch up anymore. She is such a wonderful baby and I love to see how much she grows and learns every day. We call her the HMB- for High Maintenance Baby. She is a very good baby but is fairly demanding of our attention. This is not a baby to happily sit and play while mommy does chores. ;-) She is sleeping 12 hours straight through the night now. (bliss!) At her 4 month old checkup (which was a week ago) she was 13lbs , 4oz and 25 inches long. The doctor predicted she would be "petite" and said she was very sweet. She was sweet too, right up until he gave her shots. Then he commented on her amazing lung power. She has started solids and has sampled rice cereal, bananas, sweet potatoes and organic peas. She is partial to bananas (go figure). Evie adores her big sister and is equally adored by Kaileen. She is getting a little better about letting other people hold her, she will tolerate them for about one minute before she has had enough. So much for me and my husband ever going out together again. ;-) She can sit up by herself for short periods of time using her hands as props. She can also roll herself completely off of her play mat and has begun using her legs to push herself closer to a toy or preferably the remote. She loves all electronic things and loves to watch us eat. She has the biggest smile on her face in the morning when I get her out of her crib and it just makes my day. I am enjoying every second with her, she truly is such a special girl.
